How It Works in Corpus Christi, TX

This site connects homeowners in Corpus Christi, TX with one independent local roofer when a roof is due for replacement or repair. It is a free referral service covering Nueces County, Texas and nearby towns. We don't work on roofs, we don't price jobs, and we stay out of insurance claims.

How This Service Works

Think of us as a switchboard with a short guidebook attached. You describe your roof, and we forward that request to a single roofer who works in the area. From the inspection to the contract, everything after that happens between you and the roofer. Roofers may pay us for a request; homeowners pay us nothing.

How a Request Moves

  1. You reach out. Call (361) 555-0183 or use the estimate form. Share your address, the roof's rough age and what you have seen.
  2. We forward it once. Your details go to one independent local roofer. We don't sell them to a list.
  3. The roofer contacts you. You agree on a time for a free inspection that suits you.
  4. You weigh a written estimate. Get other quotes if you want, and sign only when the paperwork answers your questions.

About the Roofers You'll Meet

Texas does not license roofers at the state level. That means the title "roofer" on its own tells you very little, and the checking falls to you. The City of Corpus Christi runs a voluntary contractor list (STAR) that you can look through, but a roofer doesn't have to be on it.

Before you sign with anyone, ask for:

  • Proof of liability insurance. A current certificate from the insurer, not just a verbal promise.
  • An itemized written contract. Materials, scope, tear-off, cleanup and payment terms, line by line.
  • Written warranties. Both the manufacturer's coverage on materials and the roofer's own coverage on labor.
  • A local address and references. Names of nearby customers you can call, and a place of business you can find.
  • Permit and windstorm plans. Confirm the roofer pulls the city permit, says who will do the TDI windstorm inspection during the job, and that a WPI-8 will be issued.

You can look up a finished home's WPI-8 on the Texas Department of Insurance windstorm search. Questions about the inspection go to TDI's windstorm line at 800-248-6032.

The Fine Print, Plainly

Where the edges are:

  • No roofing work. We don't tear off, install or repair anything, and we never send out a crew.
  • No bids or prices of our own. Every number comes from the roofer, on paper.
  • No deductible deals. Texas law requires you to pay your own deductible. No roofer may offer to waive, rebate or absorb it, and you can report one who does to the Texas Attorney General.
  • No claim handling. We don't talk to your adjuster or negotiate with TWIA or any other insurer. A roofer can document damage and write an estimate; the claim stays yours.
  • No rewards or gifts. No gift cards, credits or rebates, for you or for sending a neighbor.

We are not connected to TDI, TWIA or the City of Corpus Christi, and none of them endorses this site.
